Erectile Dysfunction Medicines Seized In Glengormley
Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley
8 April 2011
Large of unlicensed medicines have been seized by Department of Health authorities during a search of a house in Glengormley.
A male was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medications through the internet.
The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medicine offences.
He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: “It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be dangerous.
“These kinds of products being offered, typically online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no warranty about their security.
“You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not understand the effect drugs like this might have on your health.”
